Exactly my problem. I have several shirts that need some modifications, but I don't know who to take them to. I've tried a few highly-regarded places, but it never turns out well. I live in Los Angeles, too. I know there great tailors out there; I just don't know where to find them.

unfortunately its not a great fit for me either… the armpits are extremely tight...

it was 97 degrees today in the NYC area so maybe ill try tomorrow when it cools a little.

the opening is also rather large at the waist.

however fit and finish is extraordinary as usual, i just wish it fit as well as my XXL IHSH-107

Guys just an FYI there should be an XL popping back up soon.  I had to send mine back as unfortunately the sizing on this one just didn't work out.  It's en route to Paula as we speak from Phoenix.  It should be back to her real soon.
