After being told at the end of January that I was being made redundant, I've just signed the contract for a new role with the same company, just 3 days before the end of my notice period [emoji3]
The new role is a promotion, but also requires that I be site based, so I'll be commuting to Germany (and occasionally Norway) on a weekly basis, which means learning how to make better use of time at home with my family on weekends -

Just because I'm so happy to finally be done with my biggest leather project to date, I thought I shout it from the rooftop in the Random Announcement Thread!
Here's my new briefcase: It's made with an entire side of Horween Latigo in Rio, and all of the straps are made with Black Chromexcel. It's made with over 300 feet of waxed poly cord (thread) and stitched entirely by hand. For my next race I'm fundraising. For those in the US it would be a tax deduction. Any amount helps and 100% of the funds go to cancer research. The link is below. The race is a Ragnar Relay that runs about 200 miles through the back roads of Utah. Fun but tough. Map of my 3rd and toughest leg of the race is below. For those familiar with Utah skiing it climbs from Park City and through Deer Valley's resort.
I'm done taking all the pretty pictures, so now I can beat the crap out of it like nature intended!
