What a way to start the tour. I love the shoe planter and the pic of the framed flower. Good eye!

(The standing sushi bar is my ultimate favourite place in Tokyo. It has THE best sushi in the world as far as I'm concerned. Nothing fancy about it, but blows my mind every time. Was there for dinner tonight.)
Next to Shozo is Blue Bottle Coffee. BBC had massive people/hype, with Shozo not being even open yet. When here in November last year, Shozo was all the go, but had recently been knocked down to rebuild what you see now and Blue Bottle wasn't even open at the time (still being built). Amazing what 6 months does..Would like to try Shozo out one of these years!

Today we popped down to the Cup Noodle Museum in Yokohama. We also made sure that it was a safe area for Giles to head back to for this afternoon, but didn't let him know we were doing a reccy for him ;). Earthquake around 230pm and my phone got an emergency alert prior to the earthquake being felt. That is seriously a cool use of technology.
After Cup Noodle, we popped upto Ueno Park to have a wander/walk around there. Today was a take it easy day to get the legs used to walking long distances again. Yesterday we did 23,000 steps, today 20,000 on the 'easy' day. The guy who's portrait I took is a bit of a nomad who makes his living selling printed haiku's. Ended up having a decent chat with him about freedom, sun, beers, and most societies only allow 2. I got one of his haiku books, and the photo for 500 yen. I enjoyed talking to the guy and was willing to give him 500 yen just for the conversation, so feel I did well there. Tomorrow it's off to an area I enjoy tomorrow morning down by Setagaya-ku. In the afternoon likely some shopping in Shibuya for Mrs Snowy…..
