Almost sour season here, very excited!
Think I'm going to open my older bottle of Mirror Mirror tonight, been a long time coming…

2013 edition of Verzet's Oud Bruin. Tart and acetic, vegetal and funky. Head and lacing effectively absent, still crisp carbonation. I think I'll get more.

I'd rate it about 3.7/ 5… Big fizzy coke-like head that disappears almost entirely, beautiful red hue, quad colour, good smell, medium bodied, bit boozy aftertaste... All in all I reckon aging it will help...

Curious to hear what you think of the Betelgueze.  I liked it, but didn't think it was worth buying again, since it was pretty damn expensive.

My favourite beer is a local one from here in Perth, Australia called Hop Hog.  Somewhere between an American pale ale and IPA, on the sweeter and fruitier side of things:

Don't think it's distributed overseas.. Favourite beers of mine that non Australians may be familiar with are Sierra Nevada pale and Weihenstephan Hefe.

I would guess from your last couple of posts in this thread that you're in Belgium? and you can get Hop Hop? I'm impressed! Until recently you could barely get it in liquor stores here where it's from! The brewery, Feral, really punch above their weight.  Hop Hog won a reasonably big Australia wide beer poll, not bad for a brewery in the outskirts of little old Perth. I've got a visit booked in for next weekend.  I'll be sampling their annual "Tusk" IIPA, which I'm really looking forward to:

I balked at the price a bit for such a small bottle, but it's been catching my eye for so long that I just had to give it a shot.
Think I paid 16 bucks for it, hopefully it's worthwhile.
