G&P Hit the West Coast March 2015

That would make the visit more interesting, but I'm fairly certain the Geneva Convention limits the number of bald bastards that can be carried across national borders.
Probably immigration and the (often somewhat hysterical, I find) national security might have objections, too!

Whistler and Portland are nice. Aren't you going to see your sister in Calgary (I think)? Short flight from Vancouver, driving not recommended at this time of the year.
Many different kinds of beer in Vancouver and Portland. Don't forget the local coffee shops.
If in Portland, don't forget to try BlueStar donut (if donut is your thing). Never been to Voodoo donuts (very famous), but BlueStar is pretty good. Give their chicken on a donut a try, it is weird, but it is an experience. Enjoy the trip. -
Thanks a lot for the hints @Omega Man . I saw Lucy at Xmas, that is more than enough for one year…....
-
No california on this trip G-man?
-
I hope whistler still has snow for you guys…..it's been a terrible winter unfortunately. I think I'll be in Kamloops while you guys are here but I'd be happy to give some resturant, coffee, drinks reccomendations if you are going to be in Vancouver for an extended period of time.
-
A friend of mine lives by Whistler and told me to cancel the trip. He said they have no snow and conditions are better in the east coast right now. Just my luck. I'm headed to the snow mecca and the conditions are horrible.
-
You could just come to Portland instead. You could drop in at the Skogg gym with me, which will mitigate some of the drinking we'd do with Giles.

BlueStar over VooDoo any day… and I'm friends with VooDoo's owner, so that's saying something.

Just route your itineraries through Colorado, we've been getting hammered with snow.
-
Don't forget Diesel, he's coming too. So now you know it's a real party. He loves White Owl.
-
It's getting close, pray for snow
-
A recommendation if you and Paula like a good wine. try Rombauer Zinfandel for the red and Chardonay for the white. I usually don't like white wine, but this is a great one, and the Zin is great as well. From a Napa Valley winery.

Whistler is good , it's the other local mountains that are bone dry here .
-
^so should I be bringing powder skis?
-
Whistler only has a 1.5 meter base at mid mountain right now. I wouldn't bring anything you don't want damaged
-
Daniel I live in the East Coast I will take a 60" base all day long. Remember us east coasters are skiing boiler plate.
-
Oh I know man, I just say it because a lot of off piste stuff will have exposure to rocks and some trees still until you get over 2m for base. You will find lots of fun stuff to ride still, but powder doesn't seem to be in the cards for this year. I'm hoping for more snow for you guys though. Whistler posts 12hr to 7 day snowfall on their site, so you will be able to have a good idea of what skis to bring with that info and the forecast before you come
