Nah, we won't kill you so easily, and neither will the current winter. All a question of the right clothes, and some heavy denim will come in nicely.
Incidentally, here in Berlin it's currently a little less cold at night, pretty much the same in the day, but you guys get a lot more sun than we do. So be of good cheer. And enjoy the forum! -
