Cheers old chap. Its been a turgid year so finally good to hear some positive news at last!!!! He looks like a huge weight has been lifted off his shoulders, its brilliant!

I lost my mother to cancer about a year ago, and so I know how much stress it is to live with something like that. I can imagine it's a huge relief for your father, and the treatment isn't pleasant either.

Mate, very sorry to hear that old boy.

Indeed it is, both he and my mum looked like different people when i saw them at the weekend. Sunday night was the first time ive had a full nights sleep in about ten months due to it all!

Thanks @Cutlasshound, it's been a rough time for us, particularly for my father. But he seems better in some ways for not having the pressure of caring for my mother.

Active posters will be tiny compared to that.  But also interestingly, if we had allowed every registration to get through (spambots, known arseholes etc) we would be nearer 11,000….

In other news, I just applied for a Production Managers job at a small clothing company, "must have experience of clothing industry". I knew this denim thing would come in handy somewhere.
