You're both right, of course, the arms are too long. But I love the colour and the weight and, well, everything else. Don't know any alternative shirts like this one. And I don't like buttoning long arms as I've got a thing about weird arm-stacks. Considered a medieval rack but I have my 86 to think of too.

How much compromising is too much? How do you all decide when, however much you want an item to work, it just doesn't?

I think it looks good together, since the shirt and the jeans don't have the same shade of blue. the sleves a a wee bit to long, but you can allways close the snaps or roll them up.

Personally I'd just accept it didn't work for me, but in extremely picky in almost every regard.

I think the sleeves are too long

Yeah colour wise it works but the arms are too long. Next size down perhaps.

This is the compromise thing, though. There wasn't a next size down and if there had been it wouldn't have fit anywhere else. If it was an indigo shirt, say, or a chambray, I'd have returned it and looked for another option, but I've not found anything that contrasts with dark jeans like this, which is why I'm sticking with it.

Interesting to hear where you all draw the line. Thanks for the comments.

I'd just roll up the sleeves.  Fit is great otherwise.

I personally like my sleeves long, and I don't really notice it on other people, unless the shirt or jacket is obviously too large in other ways. Also, this denim on denim combo works for me, cuz of the different shades.

What I always do with denim shirts for some reason. No other way to wear them AFAIK :o

I had the same shirt delivered on Tuesday and had the same dilemma for about 5 minutes.  Its an amazing shirt and looks great in your pictures.

Thanks. To be honest, I hadn't thought about the arms until I posted it on here. Kind of shirt doublethink. I simultaneously knew they were a bit long but also knew the shirt was just right.

I was in the same boat with this exact shirt and just sold the damn thing. I hate having to cuff or roll sleeves out of necessity–for pleasure or a different look option, I am fine with it.

                                    Think it, be it.

Hahahhahahaha, it's actually too small for me as I'm a fat bastard but the measurements and material stretch where it looks half decent open. If I come across an XL in the 2nd hand market I'm all over it

This is a L by the way

Oh & thanks for the kind word folks. Now put on your critical eye & tell me something bout my shirt being tucked all jacked or my work I'd throwing things off
