Maybe they're looking at moving Stompers production to Mexico, maybe they're adding a diffusion line. The town in question does shoes and tanning, but this doesn't look like a tannery to me.

Super nice Seul. While we're on a rough-out tip, here are my Boondockers basking in the sun.
The leather has started to darken up nicely with wear and I've also got a fair bit of indigo on the uppers from my TCB jeans. Love these boots.

Real super nice guys! Never worried about stains (non-indigo) easily accumulating? And do you think the roughout feels as bombproof as normal leather?

I've never even thought about non-indigo staining to be honest. As long as it's nothing major, I think it would add to the character of the boot.
If anything, rough-out feels more bombproof because you don't really have to wipe them down or feed the leather like you do with smooth-out. They wear hard. Having the smooth CXL on the inside is really comfortable too.

Yeah I've really been liking the look of roughout stuff lately. Is it literally just leather flipped inside out? They've got to do something to the roughout part right?
And I'll be damned, after looking at the ihvb-03 in copper task I feel like I really missed out on the ultimate shit kickers. Anyone know if it's possible to get vibergs like those somewhere?

Yep, roughout is just regular leather turned inside out, no additional steps involved.
As for getting something similar, the Wesco Jobmaster with an 8" height, Vibram 100 soles and the Redwood leather in roughout would be pretty close. Maybe switch to the Motor Patrol last to get closer to the toe shape; but this is just guessing on my part…

There's a pair of the IHVB-03 on eBay right now. Otherwise, you might just have to get boondockers or something similar from Viberg.

I spoke with the guy who has the IHVB-03 on the phone last week. He is a real nice guy he has never worn the boots since buying them from one of the forum members. I know they could be purchased for $500. They are to big on him and he just wants to recoup the money he spent purchasing them.

IMO taking height off the heel ruined the profile and it looked uncomfortable to me. Also hate Dainite and didn't think it made sense with the boot. I do like SSOL though, wonder where he went.

just busy and having kids and shit.In my defense, all you naysayers know not what you speak. Like dainite or not, the copper task boot was infinitely more comfortable with the lower heel. Not to pick a fight G, but plenty of 8 inch boots have heels like the one I had put on, I don't think it messed with the weight distribution at all; in fact, having worn worn them I can testify that it didn't. I only sold them to go on to other Vibergs I was obsessing over more. Like these for instance:
