Primark sold Harris Tweed in the UK, that's our equivalent of Target.

They clearly don't understand brand equity, which is tragic for them. Could have major consequences for the entire association down the road.

They look like the jackets that were produced under the misguided stewardship of a Yorkshire businessman who tried to revive the industry back in the mid Noughties by buying one of the mills and then deciding to only produce a handful of patterns (as opposed to the several thousand that exist), which he then turned into very humdrum jackets. The BBC produced a pretty good documentary which also showed the more positive Saville Row influence in the shape of Patrick Grant and others who were seeking to keep the provenance and variety of Harris Tweed intact…..and which has been relatively successful, obviously with the exception of those jackets.

Are there any Japanese brands that make really nice traditional work wear in US sewing shops (made in USA by/for a Japanese company)?

Pretty sure Post Overalls are a Japanese brand made here.

@Giles I've browsed Badger and Blade occasionally, but found more interesting/relevant info on The Shaving Room and the Straight Razor Place. What are you looking for?

Badger and Blade has been around a while and is a comprehensive source of all things manly. I've been on the site lots learning how to wet shave. Haven't been on in a while though.

That's a tough call. Who wouldn't want a free pair of your jeans in exchange for a review?! Do you need a review? Do you want a review?

It's more of a "best jeans around" award ceremony.  I've already said no as I mistrust the objectivity of anything when the stuff is comped.
