You up sized on these right? Are the thighs looser or tighter than the 555-01? Cos I don't want the thighs to be any looser than my 555-01s.

I did not but almost wished I had since I have fairly athletic legs. As for you, I'd measure your 555 and compare to the size charts for the 301.

And I've found the thighs to be fairly similar, I wear my jeans pretty slim so I can't really tell the difference, dunno if that helps at all

I think I'll try my luck with size 29 cos my 555-01s in 29 aren't tight anyway. [emoji1]

They are incredibly stiff to start and the denim seems to fade fast but is a tough bitch to get to soften up. The thigh on mine (sz33 thigh is 12") is pretty tight but unsure how it compares to the 555.

yeah ive been losing fat in my thighs at a faster rate than ive been gaining muscle (thanks squats) so its been getting better.  they are more comfy after my first wash though.  I do notice them fading fast, but i'm getting some nice high contrast fades (IMO).  they look great and are becoming one of my favorite pairs of pants.  Need to get me a pair of black IH's next… which pair would fit like these?

I'm glad they work for you! When I started squats my legs put on a bit of mass. I'm going to let me pair go here shortly, they just aren't comfortable around the thigh.

yeah a belt is definitely needed for me- the thighs are getting more comfortable but the waist is large.  that being said my thighs keep them up! LOL

Same with a soaked, lightly worn 33! The thighs and calves are too tight.

Does anyone know where I could see how these age/fade? I can't seem to find any. I want to see how they fade before I buy. I heard left twill's fading tend to be a bit more blurry than right-hand twill.

I haven't been able to wear mine much until a few weeks ago, but the initial fading that is starting to come through now is a really nice electric blue. I'll try to get some photos up here soon
