            NØGNE #100. Excellent barleywine!..

Editor’s note: Even though the label says "Barley Wine" in the States, the brewery usually says it’s brewed to be an IIPA. The American label was supposedly a glitch. In Europe it’s sold as an IIPA. But to save the admin crew some time dealing with user feedback, it’s listed as a Barley Wine.

But it still tastes more like a hoppy barleywine to me… Thick, oily mouthfeel... Beautiful red colour... Yep: I'm sold!..

Yeah, so, I was at a bbq the other day and I was mildly surprised by the lack of awareness of the lighter-bottle-opener-hack. Possibly this is common knowledge in other geolocations but I thought a micro video of the technique could be handy, observe:

Ewww, yeah.  Never understood the hype on that one.  Tastes like someone dropped a jolly rancher in and left the beer sitting for awhile.

The sight of the Christmas beers excites me, they are certainly my favourites. I'll be stocking up heavily on the St Berny xmas beer this year, and begging you @Seul to source me a few Stille Nacht.

@Anesthetist it was my stand out from last year, narrowly ahead of SN.

I had a bottle last year, honestly wasn't that keen in comparison to the two others we mentioned, plus the Gouden Carolous xmas beer was also epic.
