Watches - another OCD problem

I definitely dig that. Nice watch!

Speaking of Gshocks, my cousin Dave who frequents Tokyo on business picked this gem up for me.
It is the newest Japanese domestic (Japan made too) '5000 solid screw in case back, solar, atomic, and the band is super smooth. Next to the Frogman line, this is one of the finest basic Gshocks that Casio makes!

QP magazine has published an announcement of the new Pinion Revival 1969 watch. It takes its name from the new old stock Valjoux 7734 movement at its heart.
I've seen Giles's Pinion, and like its look. But the 1969 is much sharper.
It'll be £4950 / €5,160 / $6,850 direct from Pinion.
-
Is $7k reasonable for that movement? Not saying it isn't, just asking.
-
Yeah, I have a similar Valjoux-based movement that's automatic, more bph, more jewels and has a quickset date on it, and I paid less than half that for the watch–that's why I was curious. Gorgeous watch either way, and obviously the movement isn't the only thing to consider.
-
Might be alone on this one, but I feel watches with black dials should have black date wheels. Just makes for a cleaner look, I think.

IMO grand seiko is very understated. It is a piece of art. Thanks Carlmart..

I couldn't agree more!

Since there's a bit of Seiko love around here, Hodinkee did a piece on the High Beat Grand Seiko with the limited edition green dial.
They've also got a preview of the upcoming Watches of Knightsbridge auction.
This Omega chronograph looks sweet.
@Snowy - I don't have any plans to get an Apple Watch. It looks interesting, but it doesn't play well with other phones, and I'm pretty tied into the Android world right now.
