sure, no stitching, but the buckel should be fixed by stitching…a belt should underline the impression of the jeans, not more

I prefer Chicago screws so that I can switch out the buckle easily

Srews are the normally cheaper version. Sometimes I lost screws or I had to fix them with glue. I have from my best belts both versions. But the stitched version is the better ones, its a hard job to make this stitching with 7mm thickness.

Screws are may favourite option, dab a bit of nail varnish (yep, I always have some lying around) or Loctite to the male thread before tightening and you reduce the risk of loss.  And Chicago screws are pretty easy to get hold of if you do lose one….

Definitely, screws are better.  I have no intention of ever buying another belt where I can't change out the buckle.

Why change a buckle? There is a famous belt-maker in Germany, going also to Japan 🙂

I change my buckle on my western tooled belts quite frequently, though less so on some others. Either way, Chicago screws have never been an issue for me. There's not a lot of tension placed on them and no reason for them to give out.

I was gonna pull the trigger on the V4.1 but don't quite like the look and feel of 1.75" wide belts on myself.

I'd look at an Equus Leather belt in either London Tan (top) or Hazel (bottom).

I'd be inclined to go with London Tan in the Bakers of Colyton leather, as that is really lovely.

Rivet and Hide offer a single and a double prong buckle in the same Bakers leather, and they are lovely belts.

                                        Hey guys,

Recently picked up some cordovan colored boots (so like dark wine). I'd like a belt that matches, at least somewhat closely, because in the future I'll probably have more boots and shoes along the lines of this color.

                                        Does anyone have any recommendations?

Seems IHB-01 comes in wine but is out of stock everywhere.

                                        Thanks

Equus Leather make fantastic belts. I've bought a couple for my father.

They offer a burgundy, which is said to be a good match for Colour #8 Cordovan.

They've got a couple of very expensive special editions, including the Rentetsu, which has a buckle forged from an antique nail by a Japanese blacksmith.

I can make you a cordovan (Horween Color #8 ) colored belt. Shoot me a PM if you're interested and we can get started.
