Something that I forgot to mention.

As we were leaving Paula thanked the consultant for being so marvellous throughout the illness, the consultant responded with "You've been pretty damn marvellous yourself"

That just about sums Paula up….

Seriously though, thank you ALL so much for your fantastic support, I have been overwhelmed by the brilliant, uplifting and loving care you have all given me.  I'm looking forward to getting back to normal (although I daresay I will miss being the focus of all this lovely attention!)

After about 4 months of abstinence, I drank about 4 glasses of champagne last night.  I was expecting to feel awful this morning, but was fine - I guess my alcohol tolerance remains well above average (not sure I should be proud of that!)

Sincere thanks again to all of you, and please feel free to keep posting the lovely pics of the babies, kids, pets and flowers that have lifted my spirits so much over the past six months.

Paula…. i can't even put into words how happy this makes me.  you've been in my thoughts a lot over the past few months.  maybe having a kid makes me get weepy easier, i don't know.... but when i saw Giles post the news on Facebook I started tearing up with happiness.  This is the best news.

Paula just phoned me from base camp, vegan central.

So, the first thing she did was go on a "relaxing yoga" session.

Those of you who know Paula will know she does not do embarrassment very well and also that she has the loudest ring tone in the known universe on her phone.    I think that is so she can actually hear it through the primordial gloop that is the bottom of her bag.

They are all lying on their backs, thinking of England or whatever you do in a "relaxing yoga" session and yes, her phone goes off,
