I don't know if you can buy a diesel bmw in the states. Anyone know? Diesels aren't as popular in the states. Something like 50 percent of passenger cars in Europe are diesel. It's probably like 10 percent here

You can. I've seen a couple BMW 335d around.

Edit: it's slightly ridiculous that the 335d has such a large engine in the 3 series. I wish we had models like the 320d available here in the US. I imagine a lot of people who want a nice car and also good mileage would be interested.

you mean there isn't any of the lower 3series around in the US?

              No, just on the diesel.

that really isn't a car for every day and not one for going slow as well. makes so much fun though!

Spotted at the local grocery store. Roamed the aisles to see who owned it. Ran into D Will. He used to play for the Jazz, is with Brooklyn now. Nice guy and amazing car.

I dont know much about BMW tuning but i do know that diesels make huge torque with proper tuning. Do a lil reading on some forums and see who the big shots are for tuning BMW's diesel engines. A good tune will never hurt.
As for mine. The rear turbo had a slow leak and was making the car smoke. Had to either a.) remove, rebuild and reinstall the stock twins or b.) upgrade to a new single turbo
The single will take up less room, put out less heat, simplify the underhood mess and is able to almost double the stock power(with proper fuel set up and tune)

This is the same kit i have. I should be around the first pull for power this year. The other pulls he does on the dyno are taking advantage of his upgraded fuel system and the use of E85 ethanol

                                      here's what i'm looking at atm.: http://www.racechip.com/racechip-ultimate

reading a bit…sounds pretty promising imo! not your usual chip tuning as it looks like.

try ac schnitzer. i've heard great things about them. they first thing you might wanna do is to do a remap of the diesel ECU to try and crank the power up.
