This is definitely one of those moments when I'm glad I'm short!!!! Good luck brother!

I think the only way to assure that the results wouldn't be slightly deformed would be to take a cast of your legs, then build some sort of clamp to hold the jeans around the waist and at the hem. Like a manequin of your lower body that you could submerge for soaking, but that would keep the hem and waist in place to prevent loss of length.

Hmmm… An interesting idea. The other thing eating at me with this idea though is it seems achingly similar to just not soaking at all and sizing based off of that idea. I mend either way if they get caught in a rainstorm I'm screwed... Grrrr. Maybe it's just a lost cause

Hey tatman - have you ever considered approaching some of the one-man shops (Roy, etc.) and asking about a custom made pair of jeans?
It might turn out be more cost effective, easier, and better fitting than building a stretcher that won't fundamentally change a pair that isn't long enough.

I have spoke to an individual on a couple of occasions about this who is heavily involved with a brand favorite of mine. Just recently again actually and he's supposed to be getting back with me next week sometime. I hate having to ask though because I know it's a lot of trouble to go out of the way for one guy who has freakishly long legs and just happens to be into denim. I don't ever like having to out anybody out of their way, do this was just a thought that had popped in my head a while back I've been thinking about again lately

@tatmantall, Tender do jeans that come with a long inseam. In their raw state it's 40", shrinking to 36" (hot soak / over-dyeing) or 38" (cold soak). Mine are somewhere around 37" (I think) after a couple of years wear and regular washing at cold temperatures.
If that's not long enough for you, then I despair!
Unionmade, Hickoree's, and BlackBlue all stock them in the US.

I've handled Tender in person at BlackBlue and can give them a hearty recommendation.

37.5" is where I need to be… So I stick with the IH models that have released in the past that worked for me, Sammie's do me right for the most part their inseams are right where I need them to be, have a pair of flat head se05bsps, WH 660, and looking at a momo... These sll work, The flip side of the coin is I'm picky too... But at the price point I think that should be allowed. looking at items like the new indigo x indigo Giles is running another reason I was kicking around ways to keep the insesm longer. When these type of limited runs come out it would be great to figure out a way I can get in on the fun too. Anyways thanks for the advice from everybody!

That'd be me unless you are talking to more than one person….Anyone else want to jump onto the long inseam bandwagon whilst I am at it?

It's you… I did not know if it would be uncool to put our conversation out there to the public. Just being respectful sir

Well… I just didn't want to throw anyone under the bus as he's looking to do a favor for me, that's greatly appreciated, and figured by wording it like that I did not have to unnecessarily open a door g did not want opened... If that makes sense.
I always just look at it like if it's done through private message it's been done that way for a reason, and I Always try to do my best to be considerate of others. Definetly not perfect, but I do try.
