Just did my first order using Fedex (Thanks to JCMx800 for pointing me in that direction!) - three days for the whole process from the US to Germany (could have been two according to the tracking), no customs, and as cheap the cheapest USPS Option.
The last shippings with DHL within Germany were all slower and 66% of the packages were lost.
Couldn't decide between love & rant, so it's just an announcement.

now i know why they say us yanks have no sense of humour,
There has been a serious bout of taking stuff too seriously around here lately…....Perhaps for the less attuned, we need an ironic smiley.....
Would freaking love it!

Thank you, Just hope that sizing works out.

Nice maxp, I picked up a 660 as well about a month ago. Went with waist size 32 and is a bit bigger post soak than I was hoping for so hope it works well for you man. They are some nice jeans

I was hoping they fit bigger than the Charts suggest. Good News

this may sound ridiculous to some of you…but as just about everyone knows i am troubled in finding inseam lengths long enough for me, and for those who have trouble with inseam length as well... I think I may have come up with an idea for something to keep the leg of your jeans stretched to their original length; therefore, keeping those inseams long. Im gonna try to construct it this summer. I know I am one of the only few constantly griping about this. Anyway, they say necessity is the mother of invention so really hoping this works out. PEACE
** thinking about it a bit more I think there may be some issues.... So... Back to brainstorming

Thanks man. I wish I could figure it out. The concept I had was a piece that clamped at the just below the crotch of each leg and just above the hem. Would allow the top box to still shrink correctly, and a support between the two clamped areas that would be the length required…. Unfortunately I feel the clamped areas will likely not shrink horizontally as they should and leave the leg in a bit of an hour glass shape from the center area would not have anything resting across the width. Not sure if any of that makes sense typed out, but thinking out loud ..

This is definitely one of those moments when I'm glad I'm short!!!! Good luck brother!

I think the only way to assure that the results wouldn't be slightly deformed would be to take a cast of your legs, then build some sort of clamp to hold the jeans around the waist and at the hem. Like a manequin of your lower body that you could submerge for soaking, but that would keep the hem and waist in place to prevent loss of length.

Hmmm… An interesting idea. The other thing eating at me with this idea though is it seems achingly similar to just not soaking at all and sizing based off of that idea. I mend either way if they get caught in a rainstorm I'm screwed... Grrrr. Maybe it's just a lost cause

Hey tatman - have you ever considered approaching some of the one-man shops (Roy, etc.) and asking about a custom made pair of jeans?
It might turn out be more cost effective, easier, and better fitting than building a stretcher that won't fundamentally change a pair that isn't long enough.

I have spoke to an individual on a couple of occasions about this who is heavily involved with a brand favorite of mine. Just recently again actually and he's supposed to be getting back with me next week sometime. I hate having to ask though because I know it's a lot of trouble to go out of the way for one guy who has freakishly long legs and just happens to be into denim. I don't ever like having to out anybody out of their way, do this was just a thought that had popped in my head a while back I've been thinking about again lately
