Rivet and Hide

No but those pieces of furniture I showed you have.
Good to see you yesterday. -
I’ve admired the Wild Child Wallet for some time now. This is a collaboration between Kiya Babzani of Self-Edge and Samuele de Goede and executed by the sterling leather craftsmen of The Flat Head.
When Kiya offered this item to Rivet & Hide I didn’t need to give the idea any consideration. This is one special wallet.
The Wild Child wallets are mainly made of harness leather cowhide, but the darker, centre part on the spine is cordovan, so you can get a nice idea of the contrast between how the two leather types feel and age. It has a silver ring in the middle and card slots inside. It looks thick when new but flattens out nicely with time. It’s a simple, classic-styled wallet that will last for many years of constant use.
Despite its classic style is has a huge amount of storage, like a biker wallet does, with lots of space for cards and bills. The cordovan part is made from Shinki leather. You don't get much better than Shinki. It has a smooth, glossy feel and requires very little maintenance.
They come in tan and black. The former has yellow pig skin lining and red pig skin for the black.

This week we received the 6006W indigo denim jacket from The Flat Head. Made from the 14.5 oz. 3XXX denim used on the Pioneer series jeans (3001/3002/3005/3009/F310/F380).
We stock it in the one wash version so there will be no further shrinkage. The design takes its inspiration form the 1950s type ll denim jacket. What is really noticeable from the one wash version is the different hues of indigo coming through already. The close -up cuff image gives you an idea. Worn to pulp this jacket fades like no other.
We have also added some red ZP-10w loopwheeled zip parkas from The Flat Head. The tubular knit produces and incredible soft but substantial fabric that is heat retaining. It has been rinsed once, will have no further shrinkage, and coming from TFH will keep its shape. This is an all year round garment.

It has a heavy two piece lower waistband with continuous tucked chain stitch. The pockets are reinforced with copper washer riveting.James is 188cm and 83kg. He is wearing a Medium

It's been a busy week starting work on our new Central London store. But we were really pleased to get 3sixteen 11BSP & 21BSP jeans. They are wholly made in Japan from 18 oz. unsanforized denim and come in straight (11BSP) and slim tapered (21BSP).
The denim itself oozes texture and character. It has a rough feel at first due to the low tension weave but promises to yield some great fades with wear. The last image is the 11BSP worn for 14 months and washed 7 times by Andrew Chen co-owner of this great denim brand.
James (model) is wearing a size 32w in both styles. He is 188cm and weighs 83 kg.

We just added The Thurston Vest to our Indigofera collection. It has a more fitted silhouette than the Floyd Vest.
It uses indigo-dyed jersey cotton that will fade with wear. We've been trying it on with lots of shirts we carry and it just looks great with them all.http://rivetandhide.com/brands/indigofera/indigofera-thurston-vest.html
We also added Black Bridle Butt leather to our collection of belts. Available with full nickel plated buckle

Just added 2 Flat Head flannels to the Sayonara/Sale room.
The HN-64w extra length special edition (£120 from £180) and the Speck Regular fit (£145 from £210)

Iron Heart is now available from us online as well as at our store. We will gradually add to our collection and have recently stocked the IH-666-19L jean which comes in a one wash. The denim is pretty remarkable for its depth of indigo and texture.
The 666, otherwise known as The Devil's Fit, is a winner for anyone who likes it slim all the way down with no strong taper.
You need to size up here. I wear 31w or 32w in most brands, just like James who is modelling. We both need a size 33w in this jean. The 21 oz. Super Black Rider's Jacket had to be here for the opening our new Central London store next month. I have coveted this for some time. It is one of the most impressive denim jackets on the market. It will not fade. The shoulder pleats make it a very comfortable jacket to wear from the go.

Over the weekend and the coming week we will be launching shirts, jeans, and jackets across many brands including The Flat Head, Pure Blue Japan, and from the latest brand to join us Mister Freedom. Stay tuned.
No better place to start on this forum tan with Iron Heart and the 555-01 jean. This is made from the signature 21 oz denim. For anyone unfamiliar with it is has been sanforized in such a way that it is ultra soft, whilst ultra tough, and in this fit is ultra slim. It's when you wear such a slim jean in this denim that you appreciate just how breathable and comfortable it is.

A wholly diffrent jean to the 555 in terms of weight and fit is the Hiut Work@ regular fit in 14 oz. Kuroki selvedge.
This is a more relaxed straight fit compared with the Slim Hack@.
These jeans are made in Wales, UK and for those interested David Heiatt who founded the brand 2 years ago, had a mission to tap into the skill base in his small coastal town of Cardigan. Back in the 80s and early 90s there were 400 jobs making jeans before companies outsourced the work to cheaper countries.A new generation of young Welsh people is learning the skill of making jeans. His mission "to get this town making jeans again" is gathering pace to the point that they work flat out to meet the growing demand. My slim selvedge jeans have been worn for about 13 months and are a personal favourite. They are very well made. Rolls of Japanese selvedge denim being delivered to this sleepy coastal town does put a smile on my face.

Our latest arrivals from Pure Blue Japan reveal just the extent to which they have mastered the production of complex indigo dyeing with the most intricate and sublime fabrics.
6 oz. Stainless Steel Work Shirt
I first saw this shirt in Tokyo last May. When the details were explained to me I thought we were lost in translation. The 6 oz. stainless steel and denim work shirt is made by twisting cotton fibres around a central filament of stainless steel to create a weft thread with a rope dyed warp. PBJ believe them to be the first to weave a selvedge fabric on shuttle looms in this way. This shirt will mould to your body shape like no other due to its unique construction.

PBJ Deep Indigo Western Shirt
The double indigo western shirt again uses the same principle as the denim jacket but this time in a lighter 6 oz. weight. It has a smooth and even handle but like anything Pure Blue Japan produce will fade out beautifully over time.

PBJ Coated Indigo Herringbone Denim Jacket
The indigo warp and white weft of the pattern have been coated in indigo. This will fade out with wear. The jacket is based on a Type ll with the central pleats and pocket placement.

PBJ Deep Indigo Denim Jacket
This jacket uses indigo-dyed warp and weft threads just like the X012 jeans.
The denim is 13 oz. without the slubbiness and rough texture the jeans have. This jacket will look pretty amazing after some good hard wear. Check out the hues of indigo already popping through.http://rivetandhide.com/brands/pure-blue-japan/pbj-deep-indigo-denim-jacket.html
