Aluminum buttons are def cool and will prob look nice. But i just dont think they will "pop" on this like they do on the 95 or 75.

                Do love the aluminum…

Have you guys thought about trying some treated (anodized, painted, powder coated, etc) metal buttons?  Could be interesting...

i'd do the alu buttons for sure…hitting them with some paint (black?) so the buttons evolve along with the shirt over time would be a nice touch though. (thanks for the idea btw. mickey!)...

                                  Seems totally reasonable to me…

and already looking forward to whatever else H-San comes up with in terms of buttons...

Black herringbone is the way to go for pants rather than the shirt.Maybe even black and gray. I have the 35 and can't imagine black being better than the indigo. And you were/are right, it is a killer shirt…one of the best-looking, along with the ombre flannels, when actually worn and moving around vs. looking at you from the hanger. Makes me want jeans in black herringbone.

I agree. I like them (I have a pair of the stronghold herringbone jeans, only ones I've really seen), but 100 is a lot. But maybe the IH-816 would be good in it. Especially if you limit the contrast and make it black and gray or something that resolves as charcoal to the eye…I always thought that great herringbone on the shirt might seem like quite a lot of optics for a double-front pant.

Well worth it for something a little different.
