WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY - WAYDT (PICS)
-
Being in Minnesota and just received 10 inches of snow last night everything today was snow related. We have had a real winter this year. Today was exceptional. Usually snow comes down and we are business as usual but today the roads were really bad. Lots of accidents and stuck motorists. Schools were called off so I watched the 7 year old and the neighbors kid most of the day. Snowblowed and shoveled. Helped get neighbors car unstuck. All in all was a fun but busy day in the North. A couple pics of the snow that overall is beautiful.

enjoying the beautiful weather while having a short break from work…
construction site always in sight:
started with tearing down one of the 4 buildings that we're going to refurbish during the next 3 years.
guys are building the scaffolding:
ground-floor:
1st floor: walls need to go
2nd floor: walls gone, now it's time to tear the roof down
the view from 2nd floor:

P and I hit the beach again today. For those who know Gosport, it is a military town and just about everything has a military connection. We went to Browndown beach site of much defence debris, mysterious stuff and a couple of forts.
No one I know has any idea what this is, best guess is that it is a ventilation shaft. This I stole from the web - "Nobody knows what it is or why it's there. Its 'gills' are an iron grill. There's no door, hatch or window. The Mushroom is a romantic, beguiling, intriguing and obtrusive relic of the cold-war. Will it ever reveal its secrets?"
Inside here is a 19th century fort…..
Then I did a "snowy". I found a hole in the fence and went trespassing…
"Mushroom" can be seen outside the fence

He's not fucking kidding, a catastrophe back home. A shame I'm missing it.

It was worth it tho, huh?
Yes, I missed what would have been an interesting image of shit loads of empty ammo cases piled up and also I need to go back with a torch to go into the (underground) fort and check out if I can work out if there is any underground access to the mushroom…

More (less) info on the mushroom….

I love that it's called "pulling a Snowy".
Pink Prom with the wife. It's a foot time and a great cause. It's a fundraiser to fight breast cancer.
