IHSH-26 & IHSH-26-OD - Short Sleeved Chambrays
-
My advice and only because this seems to be a drawn out discussion, is to just wear it. You have soaked it once already. Now wear it and let the fabric have a chance to fall naturally. See if it fits you. If you are unhappy after a while, then try soaking it again. I just feel like if you worry about it all to much and soak, measure, soak, measure, etc. you will never enjoy the shirt. At some point you have to figure out your size for IH and let Haraki-San's works speak for itself. Am I correct in thinking that you are all here because you like the brand and the things they make? If so, buy your clothes in the size you are happiest with normally and things will work out. Just my two pennies as a spectator…

Lefty. In about 3 weeks there will be two new overdyed Chambrays winging their way over from Japan. A work shirt and a western, both LS and both in the 10oz chambray (think IHSH-21) but overdyed…G
dude G, where are you?
still in Japan?
when are you back with those babies?
definitivly no need more shirt of course but these… -
Has anyone washed this shirt yet? If so, by hand or machine? And did the color change?
-
I just saw both the Western and Workshirt LS OD Shirts today at SE. I must say they are beautiful!

I soaked twice, both times in cold tap. Once before wearing for the first extended period of time(flight to Michigan) and once upon returning to California(Michigan is fucking muggy this time of year). Each time I may have noticed a very subtle decline in color saturation, but no appreciable fading, yet.
-
I honestly don't think these things are going to fade too much considering their weight/ material, but I could be wrong. I guess we shall see…

Any updates on how this shirt (or the IHSH-21bk) is wearing? I haven't worn short sleeves in the last 5 months so obviously there has been no change in mine.
-
I just took this shirt out of the closet for the first time since last summer and noticed a large fade on the lower back. I'm assuming that it's from sitting in a chair most of the day. I normally like fading but the lack of fading anywhere else on the shirt and and the odd location of this particular fade make it look like I rubbed against a chalkboard.
I wore the shirt approximately 15 days last summer and have not washed it yet. Perhaps a wash will even out the color a bit.
It would be nice to know if anyone else has had a similar experience with an over-dyed shirt.

I've worn mine a lot more than 15 times, and washed it a handful (seems I can' t wear this shirt without getting it dirty) and I don't have anything that looks like that. Give it a cold rinse and see if it goes away.
big fan of this shirt.
