That's some serious stress bro. Health issues and work issues can weigh very heavily, and it affects everyone in the house. Hope it starts getting better.

The news on my back wasn't all that surprising, I am pretty familiar with the symptoms now so I had a rough idea. However, as it sets on you, you start to think about surgery, and the 3 months that follow where your pretty much bed bound. All of it is just piling on, and adding the mental stress to the physical has gotten the better of me.

I have a piece of dirt stuck in my eye. Drops haven't helped and I can even rub my eye ball and it won't move. Afraid if I leave it there it may cause an infection

You sure it's dirt?  I had a similar experience, but it was a scratch. Felt like sand that wouldn't move. Had to wear a lame eye patch for two weeks.

I read this book years ago: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affluenza:_When_Too_Much_is_Never_Enough

It's a very interesting read that helped me to start thinking broadly and critically about our current preoccupation with growth and accumulation.

I just googled Huntsman spiders. My dreams are crushed now, because I'll NEVER go to Australia.

Seriously, they look badass but aren't likely to bite you.  I find them quite fascinating and beautiful in their own way.

I do recall one humorous incident when I was driving at speed along the highway and a huntsman spider popped out from under the hood of my car and started scrambling across the front of my windscreen.  I was trying to retain control of my vehicle at 100 km/h while also madly leaning over to quickly wind up the passenger side window so that it couldn't climb into the car.

Yeah these have been all over Fla for years, usually find them about the size of your hand in your house a few times a year. They are pretty aggressive too, as in diving at you, running toward you, pretty freaky shit. I had a fear of spiders, exposure to these cured me of it, because these feckers have a fight or die attitude
