For it's time, it was groundbreaking and compared the sheeeeite that gets rammed into kids senses these days, Star Wars was the breaking bad for kids of that generation and any of you that can now critically string a sentence together to pull it apart…....are tools and I bet most of you had a figure or two! (the slightly older generation excused).

Yes, I have read "how to make friends and influence people" 🙂

And that is precisely Paula's argument.  "For it's time it was remarkable".  So the fuck what?  So was the first black and white movie. does that mean I want/need to watch it.  So was the first TV, but you know what? I'd rather look at my 42" LED than a 3" CRT.  So was the first automobile, but I'd rather cover 300 miles in a day not 3 weeks…......And I can go on ad nauseum.....

But I need not, Star Wars is feckin shite - all of them.....Oh except if you're suffering from insomnia....

Whereas (the original) Star Trek is brilliant comedy genius, I could laugh at Shatner all day long.

Unpopular opinion - I tried to get into Doctor Who last week….. It's dreadful.

This is the ultimate unpopular opinion. Game over.

Also, bummer about thinking Star Wars is shite. I can't agree at all, but I can understand where you're coming from.

I should hope so. Without it, MN would be even colder! Not to mention nearly everything would die. Save for those of us that are smart enough to go underground and start growing plants with artificial light. I wonder just how long we would actually last?

I definitely do get torn up by drug deaths, I think it's tragic. I've known and loved many who are now gone.

I'll be honest, I'm pretty desensitized by celebrity deaths. If it were someone I knew personally, it would be a much different story. PSH was a fantastic actor, but his death doesn't surprise me or elicit any emotional response from me. The culture in the US that obsesses over celebrities and worships them is beyond my understanding.

Does his immense talent cure disease? Preserve natural resources? Advance mankind scientifically? Someone tell me why I should care that a heroin addict worth millions of $'s is dead? Heroin addicts with no money die in my town every week and every time I hear about one I punch the air in delight.
