      Any updates from you guys?

Virtual Skogg has changed it's format to a more Crossfit type schedule. He's posted 70 different workouts (I can only do 64 of them because six of them involve Crosscore and Stroops which I don't own…yet) that you do in order

It no longer goes by levels, so the weight and tempo are all up to you

Did the first one with a bell I probably shouldn't have been swinging for all 30 minutes, and I'm still sore three days later

      If anyone's interested, they're running a promotion: $1 for 31 days coupon skogg2013

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose

I saw the promo and I'm sticking with the regular dvd's, running and eventually getting into DDP yoga.

What's funny, is my pregnant wife has really gotten into Skogg. My 25 pound is still kicking my ass…

Fat dudes need good clothes too.

Yep, I've been a Virtual Skogg member for 3-4 months now, so I was happy to see that email- $10 a month cheaper and the first month for a dollar.  Score!

I love the flexibility of being able to use different weights to control the difficulty of a workout.  Light and fast tempo for conditioning, heavy and slow for muscle development.  Kettle bells are great, but Julie's not happy with the divots in the carpet from when I've dropped bells (and yes, I do the penalty push ups).

I probably get a Skogg workout in once every 3 weeks, just enough to continue kicking my ass for being bad and missing so many. When life settles it's one of the first things I'm adding back in of an evening.

Mental note, don't try a new exercise with a 60lb kettlebell

I'm really hoping to double down on my kettle bells in '14. '13 saw it take a bit of a backseat. Having had this new-years work from home period I've been hitting it again and loving it (and getting a solid spanking from it, no less).

The new Virtual Skogg format is really effective. Been taking my fitness up to the next level this last month

I'm paraphrasing Michael Skogg, but he explains his different workouts in a great way. Strength is about how much you can move. Power is how much you can lift FAST. And if you can Condition yourself to be 4 quarter player, a 3rd period player, or a 9th inning player, you're one of the elite

Everything kind of clicked together after he explained it like that

Yeah that's pure physics and physiology. I always try to mix in explosive lifts on certain things like presses and to a lesser degree on squats. Even someone who just wants to push as much weight as possible benefits from explosive strength during those exercises, for example getting a heavily loaded bar moving against gravity.

That's one reason I like wave loading.

                                  Think it, be it.

Am an absolute mental mess now (as you'll of seen through out the rest of the forum), it was a fantastic swim :).
