If I recall correctly, there is one coming.  But it is a Self Edge exclusive.

Lefty.  In about 3 weeks there will be two new overdyed Chambrays winging their way over from Japan.  A work shirt and a western, both LS and both in the 10oz chambray (think IHSH-21) but overdyed…G

Omega.  You are thinking of the 12oz denim western.  Overdyed exclusive to Self Edge, Indigo available from me and selected other retailers.  G

I wore my IHSH-26 today.  I'm happy to report that the total amount of bleeding for the entire day was less than the first 10 minutes of wear yesterday.  So it seems that a majority of the dye rubs of at first contact.

                          A few comments:
                          1.  The weight is significantly lighter than the mechanics shirt.  Nice for days over 30deg like today.
                          2.  Great contrast between the shirt and the silver threads and buttons
                          3.  Most seams are triple chain stitched.  Yellow on the inside and silver on the outside.
                          4.  Yellow triple chain stitch runoff with a bar tack stitch to prevent unraveling
                          5.  Fits like a normal IH medium

Question:  Is the overdye done before of after the shirt is sewn together?  The screen printing on the inside of the pocket looks like it was dyed but the stitching has retained a light color.

Dr Pat,  All of the IH items that are OD, are done after the garment is constructed.  The reason the stitching retains its light color is that it is a poly thread, so does not take up the dye like the cotton.  G

And again… L or XL on this?

If i went with the light blue chambray... a size L sounds good, but it says post wash its gonna shrink to be the OD sizing, so then the XL would be closer... but what if it doesnt shrink that much?? 😛

I am an L in almost every IH shirt and would go for an XL in this one.

For reference, I'm 6'2" and weigh about 155lbs.

Yeah i started out tryin to wear M in IH but switched over to L and things are working out much better now haha I'm 6'1 165 or so.

Picked this up in size XL, so i guess first things first… give it a soak and cross my fingers eh?

Any soak advice for these peeps?

The OD isn't going to shrink at all.  The reg should probably just be soaked in temps according to how much shrink you're looking for.  Generally, I'm in the same boat as you being between a L and XL as far as the measurements go.  Any shrink in the regular probably won't be all that noticeable, but maybe.
