For me it's mostly te width of the toe box too. The length is pretty spot on. It just hurts a bit because the celastic is hard.

I'd suggest BodyGlide.  I use it running long distance to prevent blisters.  Easy and won't eff up your boots.  Goes on like deodorant.  I use it when I get hot spots breaking in boots too.  Amazon, running stores, outdoor stores.

It took easily 2-3 weeks for me to wear my Vibergs for longer than four hours… Wore them for 8 hours today and the last two hours still weren't very comfy...

In the meantime, though, I'm keeping it real...

I feel very lucky, mine have felt great all along.  Stiff at first, but that doesn't bother me.  Never even a hint of a blister.  I think I'd return or sell boots that hurt me.

                  Think it, be it.

Well imo it's just part of the game… My Tricker's never put up this much of a fight though...

I assume the celastic toe box makes a big difference. If it were just leather I think it'd be a lot easier. I normally would not want boots that hurt me but it was too late by the time I realized it. However, I think my other boots could fit a bit more snugly but I never bothered with breaking in a pair, or getting one as quality as Viberg.

I love the idea of a custom feeling fit if I can make it through a bit of break in time. I guess I could still end up being the loser in the end though…

Trick is just to wear them until it hurts a bit (don't wait for a blister), then wear 'm again two days after and so on… The pain will go away, and you'll be able to wear 'm for longer...

If going to work in them: bring back-up shoes... Sneakers, preferably...

i walk on the "wide" side__ E on U.S. & Canadian & G-H [or 6 fitting] on UK.  my Loden Green Service boots on the 2005 last were tight,  initially.

1st,  'prepped the leather with conditioner & finished up with a Red Wing Mink Oil [leather softener].  then, stuck shoe trees in them & slipped some cardboard to keep the vamp taut.  'set them aside for a couple of days to allow the conditioner/oil to seep in + dry up a bit.

2nd, wore them with thinner socks, then gradually progressed to heavier weight once they started to open up.

We're trying to get enough peeps on board this MTO Viberg Tan Bison Scout Boots. Pls pm "LA Guy" @styleforum if interested.

                                the mash-up:

                                A) **Tan Bison Scout Boot

                                Leather: tan bison
                                Model: Scout boot
                                Last: 110
                                Toecap: none, unstructured toe
                                Eyelets: 7 antique brass eyelets**
Sole: Double leather sole , natural

it seems there's not enough peeps who voted for the Tan Bison Scout who ACTUALLY put in the order. it'd be a shame to waste the opportunity to acquire a fab & unique build up such as this.

honestly, the 1 & only apprehension i have that's preventing me from pulling the trigger are the leather soles …. 'just could never get used to them. but, if they're EXACTLY like the soles on the 8" ENGINEER BLACK [Japanese] HORSEHIDE__ ie, Cat's Paw half-soles, i'm mosdef on board.

FOK said if we can "… scrounge up enough guys in week", we can make it for round 2. LET'S DO THIS PEEPS!!!

I wear "8" in 2030 last, dunno if its US or UK.
which size I should pick from this web sale?

barneys list vibergs in us sizing so a viberg 8 is listed as a us 9 on barneys.
