My recommendation is to size down one in these. Personally, I'd size down 2. This fabric stretches a decent amount.

I couldn't resist the sale and (contrary to everyone's advice) jumped on that 38, myself.  I measured a pair of old baggy cargos that I still like to wear, and all the measurements are similar.  Hopefully I'm not totally crazy!  I'll post pics when they get here.

UPS came and caught me asleep, with no money in my wallet to pay the (surprise!) import fees.  Laaaaaame.  Anyway, I'm stoked on the fast shipping from IHUK, and the UPS guy said he would come back later.  Now the wait is even MORE unbearable after having seen the package!

true…30CHF fees for me and after having 3 invoices in the mail, since they always try to reach me while i'm away at work, i've finally changed the delivery address to the work address and so i should receive the famous blue bag by tomorrow, friday...instead of tuesday -.-

Not true.  Getting anything into Switzerland without charges is almost impossible and always has been.  Most of the customs staff are customers of VMC, they know what the stuff is and what it costs.  Hiding is virtually impossible…

These pants are a beast!!!  I love them, but I am wishing for a 36, or maybe even a 34 (just like y'all said, I know, I know).  This 23oz. serge is really stiff, and it means that the bagginess in the legs, seat, and waist kind of stands out, instead of draping like my other baggy cargoes.  I'm definitely going to hang onto them, because I've been known to fluctuate in weight, and I'm hopeful that the as the serge softens they will hang off me in a more pleasing way.

They look at least one size too big, and the material is heavy and stubborn to the point where it probably won't drape as you want.
