OK.  So I am likely to do the following.

Brown or black oil tan
9"
Proper buckles
Self colour constructional stitching
Leather or 705 half sole (undecided as yet)
Straps 1.5" longer than standard
2005 last

Should I put the IH/Viberg stamp on the counter and the heel seat or just the heel seat.

IMO just the heel seat. This will keep an overall clean look; however, up top on the opposing side of the upper buckle of the shaft were it would still be visible with pants tucked into the shaft I think would be another possibility though I know this was not one of the options that you put forth but was just a thought

I have a rather pimped version of this boot on the sewing bench atm.  As soon as I have it I'll post pics.  Just waiting for Ed to ship the buckles to Viberg.

BTW, my preference is just for the heel seat….

Rubber soles are harder wearing than leather, which would be an argument in their favour.

would these come with the "standard" shaft shape that all the viberg engineers come with or since these are mto, would one be able to spec a different kinda shaft shape (as you did with your last pair.) ?

more of a "snaketube" (narrow) shaft would be nice but not sure if Viberg does this option

Just placed an order for a 9" 2005 in brown Oil Tan. (vibram 705 halfsole and double leather midsole). I think it will be a beautiful build
