Founder's had a tap takeover at my favorite bar this week, and I managed to score some KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) and as always it was awesome.  One of the best beers I've ever had…

The Founders Breakfast stout is awesome.
I have never tried the Kentucky version though!

It's bourbon aged and super delicious.  Having it on tap off season like this (it's a spring release) is super rare too, so it was a very special occasion to have it the other night

Went to brewery for lunch yesterday and had one of their golden ales. I'm a really big fan of abbey ales, dubbels, tripels, etc. This one has more of a sour feel to it, but still really good with their market pizza for the day (brussel sprouts, bacon, mozzerella). I didn't take a picture….

I was just at the Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor for lunch for Wednesday.  The Oro de Calabazza is a great beer…

Jolly pumpkin is sweet. It's the one restaurant/brewery I miss in Ann Arbor

                    Prickly pear was decent

ah, la fin du monde. delicious, easy to find, and got me into the high-volume belgian ale scene. It's a really good, easy drinking beer.

                        sláinte!

Shared one with my dad. Couldn't help but pour in some residue (it started halfway through, wasn't gonna sink alf a bottle of Westy 12)… This didn't help with the taste (slightly more bitter)... Too warm as well... My dad has a lot to learn!.. But yeah: all in all a pretty decent beer  ::)

You set me on the line with Cantillon. Shared it with my father as well. THANKS!

Yes indeed! Coming from german industrial beer, needs a change in in tasting, but I liked it very much.

Ah yes - quite the change in taste indeed!.. But once you've grown accustomed to it, you'll love it even more!.. Geuze is easily the best product made in Belgium…
