Yes, this is exactly my experience… I plan to wear it in cooler weather (layer) and use as a motorcycle jacket... I LOVE this vest, it is a beast.

I just went to add this info to the product description, and it already says this:

Designed to be worn over a heavy jacket, so these do come larger than our normal sizing

Just picked up my sonny vests from the post office, HOT DAMN are the NICE!!! I am still unsure which direction to go as I have only had the opportunity to try them on over a tshirt but neither of them looks bad… guess Its a win win either way.

Here it is fellas , this is a medium (38) and fits perfectly over the himel as well, I would say definitely size down…. But that's just IMO.

An amazingly well worn piece of concrete. I like this vest, but I know I can't pull it off. Looks badass on you though TmT.
