Your map is wrong. There is no "Hairy Fat Guys Wearing Speedos".
Yurp is such a stupid country.

KCCO is out local CBS affiliate's ID.

People who describe leather as "buttery soft" should be executed.

Looking through ebay listings and seeing so many jackets described in such a manner, I now absolutely despise the phrase.
-
I hate plaid.
The only kind that I consider acceptable is when there are only two colors, like a blue and white gingham or windowpane plaid.

The accumulation of "stuff" that you're not going to wear/ use regularly is weird in my opinion. It goes directly against what all this well made, hardcore, workwear is all about surely?
I'd rather have 2 pairs of denim that I wear regularly with a pair worn seldomly (for "smart" occasions) than 15 pairs of almost pristine $400 jeans….same goes for boots, shirts, jacket.......and on, and on, and on
I get that people can do what they want with their money, and it's what keeps business in business and the economy flowing and all that good stuff, but it just makes me feel a little bad when I see stuff being piled up and still looking brand a year later, like the guy wearing it doesn't really get it.

I see the difference G, but I want my gear to serve its purpose.
I'm not saying that I'm right by the way, just saying that mass accumulation strikes me as a touch vacuous and makes me mentally sigh a little. Surely you (not you personally) could get out there and see the world, rather than marvelling at you collection of "things". I would rather spend time talking to someone with interesting stories of experiences than stories about their stuff.
Also, just to add, I'm clearly not anti-stuff, I love pretty things as much as anyone, but stockpiling something that is made to be used, worn, aged and enjoyed just doesn't make sense to me.
Anyway, irrelevant argument for you as you always wear your gear in well.

BTW, this was sparked in my head by reading the "how many pairs of jeans do you own" thread on SuFu before anyone starts taking it personally.

Different strokes for different folks mate. Maybe the people buying the much denim either earn a shit-ton more, or maybe they've seen the world, or maybe they've realized everything is the same?
Why buy a Lexus/BMW or even something more flashy when a Toyota will do the job? Same deal. Different strokes different folks.

I really dislike the "Roll Call" thread for similar reasons, Mega.

Buying a luxury car over a standard car is totally different. Buy 10 luxury cars and keeping them in a garage would be more accurate.
The whole "seen my" culture is lost on me I'm afraid, especially in a scene where everything is so well made and such emphasis is put on organic evolution, not to mention just being socially responsible.
