Gonna be looking for that Reinaert tomorrow… Apparently it's sold under a different name here (Flemish Primitive)... It has a wild yeast in it, hence the name... Excellent!.. Massively curious about that'un!..

              Well I'll make you a list anyhow…

I'd get some glasses to start... You need a good Trappistenglass (I would recommend Westmalle), a good snifter (Rodenbach Grand Cru), and a Geuze glass (I see the Tilquin glass is cheapest, but the Cantillon one has that great logo so).

Blond beers won't be mentioned as I'm dealing with sours and old browns these days so…

Btw, this is the single craziest thing I've ever seen  :o

There are a lot of beers I didn't add (because of price or other reasons)… Also: if you buy geuzes, remember it's an acquired taste...

                @Seul:

                Fucking Timmermans… Why Chris, WHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY

What is that Reinaert Wild Ale??? Reinaert's made like 5 miles from me... Glad you liked the Duchesse... The reg Rodenbach is nothing too crazy, but the Grand Cru, well: I really like that'un!.. It's weird how they always seem to sell big bottles of this kinda stuff in the States!..

I like the Timmermans.  I think the taste varies a lot depending on batch, though.  I'm looking forward to the Reinaert and Rodenbach ones.  I'll let you know what I think. 😉

It gets high ratings at RateBeer but I'm sure it doesn't even come close to the "good" geuzes…

Ok fuck it I'm thirsty... Time for a beer...

Not easy to pick when your fridge looks like this when you open it...

I know it's not the proper vessel, I'm still working on my glass stable. But this beer blew me away. It's tart, super crisp, and is really earthy/ grassy at the finish.  Unlike any beer I've ever enjoyed.

Aaaaaah my man… Good choice... It's on my list of beers to pick up today... Can't wait to try it!..

Earthy/ grassy - yes Sir!.. As I always say: a good geuze tastes of manure!.. Which doesn't sound attractive, but once you've had a couple of geuzes, there's no turning back...

Btw: I love that glass!.. Sure it's not a geuze glass but that's one hell of a nice snifter!..

Cleaned out my stock dept and fridge… One 12x37.5cl case filled with subpar geuzes that I will drop off at work for the deposit money, 13 various bottles that will go to a mate...

Pro tip: never buy more than one or two of ànything until you're 1.000 % sure you like it... And I'd give the case of geuzes to my beerloving mate but no can do as they're subpar... There's pride in the game...

My mate bought everything I told him to and then some… I totalled at 75 €, my mate doubled that... Crazy fecker...

It depresses me to see you bring home a haul of beer, including several that are in my fridge right now, and know that it only cost 75€.  Even if I could get all the same ones, (which I can't) it would be double the total.

My local breweries need to step up their sour offerings.  I think I'll go tell all of them to revamp their product line to fit my preferences.  I'm sure they'll get right on it.

                                Sorry - it was 68 € + 6.8 € worth of deposit…

Getting into the fall spirit with something I haven't tried yet. Very smooth, bready, pumpkin pie filling but not overpowering. 8.6% too.
