      @Giles:

      Let's forget cinchback, not really the Iron Heart aesthetic…..

      a chinchback is not so important to me.
      but could be done nicely in ih style:

      what's about suspenders and the style of jeans they need?

        if you want cinchback, rising sun, mister freedom, warehouse and what not is your brand of choice!

        is that the point?
        you could say that about a lot stuff.

              Not sure I understand this..  I've been under the impression that IH is about durability and classic design?  Some of the earliest rail workers, ranchers, etc. all wore cinchback cuts.  And there's a ton of Japanese dungarees / work pants with cinchback and metal braces anchors.  Tough jeans, boots with braces and a t-shirt?  I don't see why that's not IH.

              Not pressing the issue with G - but in terms of aesthetic, I think it falls right in line with this brand.

                I don't disagree with your analysis and personally, I love a pair of cinchbacks and yes some Japanese brands do amazing dungaree's (mine are TFH), but I think the are little fussy for IH.  I think on the whole, while we do hark back to the classics, it's usually to the "cleaner" designs.  Of course, never say never and I maybe completely wrong….

                  Definitely a touch of 'dainty' detail in terms of a buckle and the braces rivets.  That's for sure.  But there's no 'wrong' - it's all pretty subjective stuff.

                  One definite bugger is that a motorcycle ride + braces isn't really the cleanest equation.

                    I always had the impression, that, ignoring the work vests, most IH gear is made with a 60-80s motorcycle influence, brought to a modern, heavier level. Type III vests, midrise straight jeans, m 65, Flannels and such show a way different approach to clothes, compared to early century workwear like Mr. Freedom, Duck Digger and Rising Sun or 50s influenced Flat Head clothes.

                    IH has never been accurate reproducing vintage cuts or fabrics, so I think suspender buttons and cinchbacks are not what many associate with the brand. i don't like that stuff too much and so IH has always been a good choice for me.

                      this is the inspiration I se in many of the products as well. As a matter of fact, early this mornig I was looking at some old classic B&W 1%er photos (a collection of Hell's Angels from the 60-70s era) that actually made me smile a little to see the coorelation between the line that IH has developed in comparison with what many of those guys were wearing back then. I really like IH's refreshing approach to vintage, they do it quite different than the rest of the pack, and i Love it  😘

                        Yep. The IH aesthetic to me doesn't hark back far enough for cinch back and has a more pragmatic, understated ethos: buy pants that fit, wear a belt, and skip the cinches and braces.

                              Westerns are Timeless. you can't really date them, where as cinch backs and many other forms of workwear currently beign produced are much more time/period specific IMO

                                Snap shirts got big in the fifties and really big in the seventies. I don't see that as going back beyond the IH aesthetic into the twenties.
