Fat Jack was great, lots of ginger and pumpkin, but not that overthetop clove and spice that a lot of other pumpkin brews have. I will be buying at least another for Halloween. Is that kind of head normal for Rochefort or was the glass dirty/fast pour etc? Either way it looks awesome, definitely on my must drink list along with more Chimay…

Normal head for Rochefort. If I see that kind of head of a new beer I'm trying, I know it's gonna be good… Yesterday's beer was a good example of this...

Rochefort kicks ass, it was the beer that convinced me that maybe Seul does know what he's talking about (sometimes)  😶

Made in England, clothed in Japan, fed in America and drunk in Belgium !

I used clean glass/slow pour.  The shape of the glass is important.  Rochefort is not designed to be poured into a tulip.  Seul's proper Rochefort glass has a much wider mouth.  I ate the foam.  Zero fucks given…

Seriously: eating Rochefort foam is as good as going down on a beautiful girl and CENSURES HIMSELF

              So I drank this yesterday:

              http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/struise-black-albert/77305/

It's fucking crazy… Very well balanced for this kind of hardcore beer... Not too dry, lotsa cacao/ dark chocolate... 13 effin %... Beautiful...

That looks friggin great Seul, I gotta find some. Today started with free Buds, moved onto a New Belgium PumpKick (new one to me), then Chimay to end it all.

I still do not understand the Rouge… In the commercial description it says something like "if you think it's too sweet, take another sip; it really isn't sweet, YOU'RE WRONG". Well, screw you guys, IT'S TOO DAMN SWEET...

Tripel & gueuze, that sounds like an interesting combo, how does it taste? (Sourness-wise etc…)

Less sour than a geuze, less sweet than the Vicaris tripel. So fucking helpful innit, I know!..

Boon Geuze Mariage Parfait. Made from three year old Lambiek. Stronger than other geuzes, clocking in at 8%… This is just DE FUCKING LICIOUS stuff!.. Boon really brings the heat with the Vat 44 and this Mariage Parfait...

Hanssens Oude Geuze: poured it in the sink. Hanssens really love making their drinks as sour as possible…

3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze: aaaaah yes now we're talking... Best smelling beer there is!!! Probably top three material for beers under 8 %...

Some local beers shipping out to a few lucky forum members. Mixed bags of four from these varieties. I haven't tried the two leftmost ones.

A saison, a hop bomb, a "grapefruit shandy" (this one is barely a beer but it plays well by the pool or on the boat or in your lady), a hop/malt bomb, and a beer that's between a brown ale and a porter with coffee added to it.

                                        Think it, be it.

                                          Spoiling myself…

Bush de Noël (Bush Xmas): 12%. Spicy, heavy, fucking awesome. Dubuisson surely is one of my fab breweries.
Rodenbach Grand Cru: best old, brown sour. 6%. Really need to open my Vintage 2010 soon...
Trappistes Rochefort: in my top 3 of heavy, brown beers. Enough said. 11.3%.
Gouden Carolus Tripel: love these, but mainly got them for my brother. 9 %.
Duchesse de Bourgogne: another sour red/ brown. Haven't tried it yet, but read about it on RateBeer. 6.2%.
Liefmans Oud Bruin (Old Brown): perfect when in need of a quick, refreshing beer. 5%.

Cantillon Geuze: quality beer right here. 5%.
Boon Geuze Mariage Parfait: 8%. Amazing geuze made of three year old Lambiek. What's more amazing is it's price: it's cheaper than most regular geuzes… And only slightly more expensive than the regular Boon geuze. Definitely one of my favourite brews.
Liefmans Goudenband: another sour brown. 8%. On the other spectrum of taste and such, but equally as good. I need my brother to start cooking with this stuff...
