… this first event, I'd play it safe.

      been there done that!
wore my JMC's and my white TWSH-01…was the perfect combo for 27 degrees+ weather and besides that everything was covered 😉

the "official" part of the summerevent was from 9am-3pm...after that i decided to skip the Wutang show in the evening and better spend the rest of the day with a bunch of cool and pretty chill (also tatted) work colleagues just to get to know them a bit better and all.
So after a few beers, we o/ course "talked ink" and since I felt pretty comfortable after a certain time, I went ahead and "answered" their questions on why I'm running around covered up the whole day...they took it with a smile 🙂

all is good now and we ended the day/nigth with having some great food, beer and vino...you can tell it got pretty late 😃

and the decision to skip the wutang show was a great one. there's nothing better than to spend some quality time with some new colleagues/friends!

I might have missed it at some point, but are all IHUK orders going out via UPS now? (Can I still get Parcel Force/ Canada Post to Canada?)

Shipping EMS to Canada costs us twice as much as shipping UPS Express, but it is something we are happy to do, just ask us at check out.  I have said it before, but I will say it again, Canadian Customs are more venal than they would be in a country run by Atilla the Hun and his latest wife Lucrezia Borgia

Mega, Quaboag is the name if my high school and I'm pretty sure the factory, Quaboag Rubber makes them. They also make Vibram soles.

It's not our customs that gets me to have g&p&a ship to me parcel force . It's the brokerage fee that ups charges on top of the duty. Duty doesn't bug me its the brokerage fee that ruins it for me

How much is the brokerage fee?  We too get charged a brokerage fee in the UK if the thing is stopped and taxes applied, but it does not often happen.  Is the fee in Canada disproportionately high such that UPS is incentivised to charge duty.

say the duty was $50, the brokerage fee would be like $59
and the last package you sent me ups i got hit with brokerage fees and no duty
which makes no sense what so ever

2TB black is what you're after. But, yes.

Exactly . A couple weeks ago g I ordered a bunch of motorcycle parts from a company they wanted 87 us to ship USPS to Canada 47 to ship ups or they shipped free ups to a us address . So I got a us box and drove the almost 3 hour round trip to avoid the brokerage fee. I paid 92 in duty on the package worth 610. But driving there myself was the cheapest option. Ups is kinda the devil when crossing into Canada. I don't care about duty. That's just part of the game but a brokerage fee is like paying shipping twice in my eyes

Yep, Nate is exactly right. I've never been able to determine what the brokerage fee is, since no one else charges it to the recipient (unless it's built into the upfront shipping cost). As far as I'm concerned, it's highway robbery.

In the UK we get hit with a brokerage fee of about USD by both UPS and EMS (I suspect TNT, Fedex and DHL will be similar), usually this ONLY happens if there is tax to pay, but occasionally they hit me with it, I guess just for looking at the parcel…..

I second that. They are really well designed ergonomically and they seem to hug my feet in just all the right places.
