…annnndddddddd here we go. (all are click-able for larger image)

Day one and our kitten Soba, can't keep her paws off them!

(I'll be giving this a bit of oil this evening)

Today turned out very little like planned. Our oldest cat had an eye infection which resulted in 1/2 my day being absorbed by ferrying her to/from Mrs Snowy's work (Mrs Snowy = vet nurse).

After our the kitten was okay'd, back home to relax for a litte and enjoy some rare coffee beans; Hacienda La Esmeralda from Panama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esmeralda_Gesha)

For the afternoon I popped down to an area opposite the city called Pyrmont. I used to work in the area, and find it's slower pace quite enjoyable. There's also some good food close by. During the week, and often of an evening I'll be in the city itself, so thought it was worth giving you all a view of the city from the outside it.

Pyrmont also has the National Maritime Museum

Some 'cheap' boats in the area

      Finally fit-pics

After which time for some dumpling like another world-tourer 😉

That's it for the moment. Will be heading back to the city with Mrs Snowy soon. Will see if the camera comes along….

Superb! Didn't know the jeans had already been down under, now I do thanks to your map. The macros are denim porn, just great. They seem to fit you slightly looser than they did on me. And Snowy, heavily faded denim looks so damn good on you, you really ought to consider it for more frequent attire, above and beyond a world tour leg. A smashing overture to your leg, that surely makes us all eagerly awaiting more.

Keep your jeans on–-and let nothing come in between you and the denim !

And mine & Mrs Snowy's too. Having a very hard time getting used to such faded jeans :). They FEEL amazing tho. so soft and buttery smooth.

@501/IH I like the way it contrasts my darker clothing, I'll be sure to keep my current pairs in rotation until they reach a light shade for sure - this is great inspiration :).

Maybe you can include Morocco on the map - this way we have covered Africa…if only for a small part.

Camera did head along and join us to Ramen in the city last night. Parked the car @ work, only car around so Mrs Snowy had a little fun. This Ramen Bar consistently is in the top 3 Ramen Bar's in Sydney, it's no wonder why either. (Will try get a better shot next week)

Depending on the Sunday it's usually close to home + swim during the day, which is how today's played out. Walked to lunch up the road at quite a Folky/Country/Modern/Warehouse styled place. I'd been craving pizza for over a week, had to get a slice. Really starting to get into the feel of these. Still getting used to the look but my oh my 🙂 ::)

Fake Eames Lounge Chair, $600, RRP for Real is around $800. Don't know why you'd bother with the fake. It's got me thinking about a few of the real ones mind you…

                        Reflection

Camo's a local never met him but his work turns up all over the place on foot, and only in my local area. Quite detailed, always appreciate it as an ex-stenciler myself.

Getting closer to lunch now, notice the funky sign (that is not a Cannery at all any more, it's a clothing outlet)

                        'za!

Funky plants on inside of the place's walls

Behind the food area is this artsy/folksy area

This is really nicely executed IMO

The other revelation I had about the WT's is that being so light they contrast REALLY nicely with Denim shirts. Expect to see a bit more of Mr 33.

…and now it's off to do some house cleaning, then the pool, then dinner. These will be photographed in detail next week. Not sure how I'll update the tour during the week, but life will be lived and shared...

As expected the weekday hijacking has already taken place. Let's see how well I manage to uphold, Will try get 1 or 2 every few days at least.

Following up from the Fake Eames Lounge Chair the other day, Mrs Snowy's green-lighted 'research' into the real one's on this coming weekend, should be fun.

This morning it was up with the sun, to ride into to city for work, which can be seen in the back left of the photo.

                              1/2 the day was going through a new storage system (3PAR), this shot was taken around 3 hours into the meeting. Informative, Enjoyable, but long, a general theme you'll be seeing in my days, no doubt;

Oh and this is from Saturday, no why, no why not, so yeah.

Might even speak next time 😉

Per Random Rants, I got pulled onto a Severity One, All Systems Down call @ 2am this morning, and was up until around 730-8am. 5 hours sleep later, not the most alert or happy Snowy. Didn't dare risk putting on the WT's as I'd likely put my foot through them.

Up side is 1/2 a day @ home off work, cleaning, drinking tons of coffee to remain conscious 🙂

Back to back meetings for most of today, and most of tomorrow.

Managed to get out to a local cafe near the office where they know how much I enjoy pour over coffee. They made me 2 varietals at the same time to compare and contrast. Something I've never done with pour over. Made for a super amazing meeting, albeit maybe too little focus on the meeting 😉

This evening I took my team out to dinner as thanks for some of the hard work they've done over the past few months. They picked a seafood restaurant, live crab and parrot fish fresh from the tank. I had salt and pepper tofu. Kinda neglected to take food photos being a vegetarian, did find the towelette pretty tho :).

Photo from the office kitchen looking west over the edge of Darling Harbour, and in the distance is Anzac Bridge.

The cranes in the foreground remind me of Finn. They're building a casino & hotel complex there. Sydney has a 1 casino license monopoly until 2030. The current casino is right across the water. This new construction came about as the owner has lots of money and somewhat openly bribed the state government that it was time to review the 1 license monopoly ahead of 2030. Money talks as they say.

At lunch I popped down to The Rocks, which is one of the very first areas settled in Sydney by Captain Cook / The first fleet. A very famous and as historic as modern Australia gets. It'll be featuring more clearly in coming days, it's close to the office so sometimes walk down around the area to clear my head

                                          Also down in the rocks

This is of Jack Mundey, "a distinguished Australian union and environmental activist. During the 1960s Mundey was a crusading unionist, an advocate in a wide range of issues, from safety reforms on building sites to wider social issues, such as feminism, gay rights, and the impact of international politics. Mundey considered all of these matters appropriate targets for union activism."
                                          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Mundey

Up close of the prior work, really nicely done
