Do they stretch out that much(2 inches to tagged size)?

The 18oz denim behaved very differently than we expected when we overdyed them.  This is one of the reasons we have put them on sale…..

Hey guys, whats up? I'm new to the forum and just posted in the Hello thread.

I just got my 666od's (30x36) in the mail today but to my dismay they're too tight at the waist.

I know they're supposed to stretch to tag size (1-2" right?) with consistent wear and I read that those who initially found it too tight sucked it up and now have a good fit, but you guys got them to at least button up right? (At least 1 or 2?)
I can't button up any of them and doesn't look like a good idea to try…

It sounds like they're too snug to me. My 634S 33s have always been a perfect fit for me, IH is cut true to size.

A lot of people squeeze into their jeans because they say they will stretch a lot. Well, yeah, if you're putting a bunch of tension on the waistband, it certainly will stretch more. But if you get it snug but not tight and wear a belt it won't stretch nearly as much (subject of course to the properties of the fabric).
