On the topic of new FH at Self Edge, the new Glory Park hot rod shirt is NOT discharge printed…  I don't think SE was trying to mislead anyone; it really looks like it because of how lightly the design was screened onto the shirt, you can see the twill fibers... but when you drag your fingers across it you encounter resistance and relief on the design as you feel the ink.  A discharged design would be undetectable by touch.  Still cool, but not as cool as a discharge print would have been.

It also lacks the super-reinforced collar as well as the typical FH accent stitching, though it's still a pretty robust, triple-stitched collar and I kind of like the black on black stitching for a nice change-up.  And I think that it may not be loopwheeled.  Whatever it is, it's an awesome fabric and definitely a tubular knit, but it's unlike any loopwheeled tee I've seen.  It's extremely soft, particularly the inside... EDIT: I think it may be LW, I see some characteristic horizontal texture... Either way, soooo soft and nice weight.

Last thought, the 42 is really borderline for me, quite trim through the torso, consider sizing up.

If you like the design (I love it), worth picking up.

      Think it, be it.

I'm not as techo as you blokes, and have no idea what a discharge print is. Sounds a bit messy though, like something you should see a doctor about.

RnR, glad I wasn't drinking because it would have come out my nose. It's the way bandanas and Wabash are made, where you die, then effectively bleach a contrasting design in. The Wabash dots are discharged for example 🙂

Finn, that was just me being impatient after the gym/post. 🙂

I'm a big fan of the single pocket type I. There are some 506 XX on eBay. We're talking pre-war here, and these are in good shape.

mclaincausey:  All Black Mint tees are loopwheeled, including that one.  Flat Head uses several different types of neck designs, the triple-stitched THC type is most familiar but the Glory Park TD tees and Black Mint TM series use other types of neck construction, it all has to do with the sort of vintage details inspiring each particular line.

Discharge prints have a textured feel, they're the kind of prints that crack and show visible aging over time on vintage tees.  Soaked prints have little to no texture, they fade and generally blend with the fabric over time.  I'm not sure which one that tee is, I'd guess soaked print but I think Black Mint uses both types.

Discharged prints are when a chemical removes dye from a fabric, like a bandana. You don't feel it because it design is bleached out of the dye…

The paisley chambray shirt I posted previously in this topic is discharge printed.

Hmm, my bad - what's the thicker, textured sort of print called?  It doesn't seem to be stated by name anywhere on FH's documentation.

[[Edit: Flat Head calls this a "rubber print."]]

First, thanks for the info on Glory Park!  I love this shirt.

I don't know–whatever they did is unusual, because as mentioned, you can see the fabric's individual fibers on the screened ink.  Usually in my experience the screenings on a shirt are so thick that you can't see the fibers, and then that breaks over time for that vintage look.  It might be a matter of degree, just using more or less ink.

I think that FH was going for a discharged look, because it looks exactly like black discharged print often looks.  I have another black shirt that does have some discharge on it and it looks just like this one (the off white is discharged out of a black shirt):

Not interested in more denim at the moment, but I'm guessing a buyer will want to know if they've been soaked.

                                  Those are some great jeans…

@TresUnCool, please post an interest check in the buying and selling forum, you'll likely get better interest (and do mention if soaked, and the measurements will help even more). Good luck with your potential sale!
