thought i should show you guys where and what my workplace is going to be like during the next 3 years!

the actual site is in the swiss city called "Biel/Bienne"…they say it's one of the best, if not the best, site in the country...i mean, just look at the location 😘

              CLICK FOR BIGGER VIEW

it's a grammar school for german and french pupils, that was designed by THE famous swiss architect Max Schlup in the late 80's…
since the school and the building itself has a pretty high reputation, it's pretty shitty when it comes to energy consumption and the likes. classrooms can heat up to 35C/95F during summers and cool down to 10C/50F or less during the winters...so refurbishing is long overdue!

the red circle shows 3 school buildings (french (bottom), german (top) and bilingual (middle)) as well as a huge sportshall on the right! the yellow circle shows a basketball/soccer court and a bigass bicycle parking lot...the local beach is marked with the green cicle!

so the next 3 years we're building a complete new annex building which will be stomped out of the ground where now the basketball/soccer court+bicycle parking lot (yellow circle) can be found!
also we're going to refurbish the already excisting buildings (red circles) by stripping'em down so that only their concrete cores remain, while giving them a complete new appearance, heart and soul...and all this while the schoolhouse is up and running on full power!

i'm the guy that is responsible for the new annex building and that it will be up and running just in time, so that we can start with refurbishing the "old" buildings...so time and strategy are the major keys in this one as you can see! 😛

until the construction trailers are fully installed, my temporary office is in one of the classrooms of the german block (the pupils are on summer vacation atm.)

since we're beginning with building the new annex building, we have to tear down the basketball/soccer court + bicycle parking lot first…
the problem is that the residents next to the site don't want any trucks to role by there houses, so they acquired an injunction which lead to the fact, that we don't have any other opportunity to dispatch the rubble then building our own little bridge so that the trucks are able to dispatch the rubble 😠

the road we would have loved to use

building the forecourt so that the trucks have enough space to move

              building the temporary bridge

              some heavy-ass joists are needed

the workers building the footings for the construction trailers

the 3 school buildings (pov from sportshall)

the sportshall (pov from the buildings)

              the sportshall (pov from harbour)

              the lake 😘

things are about to go down

anybody needs some deep-ass holes to be gouged 😃

              the heavy machinery

              yours truly 😉
