IH-526L - 19oz Unsanforised Left Hand Twill Trucker. The Lefty Trucker

especially a denim jacket will work better without side pockets because the pocket inner lining will shine through whilst aging, it won't have an advanced look imo.
if there is need for more pockets/room to store, buy a jack wolfskin jacket or something like that….
whatever happened, this will be a great jacket... -
Upon further reflection, this is a perfect example of not being able to please everyone all of the time.
For years people have been asking me to do a modified Type III, that is longer in the body (and in this case arms) and with hand warmer pockets. I refused, because imo a classic Type III is short in the body and doesn't have hand warmer pockets.
I caved in eventually and made the Brown and Black Duck Type III's with side pockets (I pathetically reasoned with myself that a Duck Type III was not really a Type III anyway). I actually and surprisingly liked them a lot and wear the Brown Duck regularly.
When Haraki and I discussed what we should make with the 19oz LHT, apart from the obvious (666 and 634 cuts), I decided to do something quite different, hence the Lefty Trucker.
I know it isn't everyones cup of tea, but nothing ever is.
And remember, we are not a repro company, we reinterpret.

Sorry if I sounded like I was griping, absolutely not the intent. Just sharing an unsolicited opinion.

…and there is probably a pocketed Sonny Barger in my future, to give an inkling of the strength of this conviction

I was just fantasizing about an IH 101 with sawtooth contrast stitching on the placket last night…

Maybe a broken twill just to be crazy…
