There are airports in Switzerland…..And if thee guys want you so much, you tell them now, that you have a prior arrangement that require you to take the Friday and Monday off.
Finn, in all honesty Giles is serious above. For my most recent 2 roles I've told them I need a few weeks, most recently I told them I needed 1.5 to 'unwind', and the role before I took 2 weeks off. 1 of the guys I was interviewing for another role in the final round told me he needed 2 months off before starting. It won't be an issue if you tell them before you start you've already committed Fri/Mon of your first week…

I was being 100% serious. The strongest position you will even be in is when negotiating for the job. How do you think I own a Breitling and Patek Philippe and a Jaeger Le'Coultre. When I was negotiating a new role, I identified something a wanted a lot and then told the company that was interviewing me that the sign on payment was $xxxx, or no deal. Never failed.

about the "take two days off" thing…i'd totally do that, but I already need a week of in august and I'm even able to take two months! off at the end of the year, to fulfill my dreams and go in a little trip (australia, usa, etc.) ...so considering these things, I'm already getting everything (and more) I've asked for...
today i'm going back to sign the contract, so let's wait and see if I can "force myself" to even ask for some more free time...really not wanna go over board with it though (and I'm not talking Peugeot here! that fekker goes over board in a few months, most def.!)...
