thanks for the kind words.  this pair feel a great deal slimmer than the 36s & are close to the 8301s I had in a waist 34 many moons ago.  the measurements provided by CLJ were spot on as i can comfortably get in & out of these & even tuck a shirt.

i know folks say the 301 series from Self Edge & the 555 from the Denim Vault aren't the same cut, but they feel really similar on my legs & i'm a sucker for those selvedge id details.

ah so you have both 21oz versions now (blue 01 and black 03), right?
(just to make sure to understand what the comparison is biased on!)

this cut is a golden one imo, cuz it makes even us bigger dudes look a tad slim at some point also it has the perfect waist/thigh/hem ratio (for me at least!)…

correct, i have the  flagship denim 555 01 & these (555-03 sbg).  i like the devils cut better on my frame & just at my present station in life (these are really slim) . . . but i do agree as a bigger man i do not feel ridiculous when i look at my self in the mirror or walk down the street in these

Here I thought that my 555-03 was softer than the signature denim in my DC4001 when it were new. They will get a lot more comfortable. Wear em hard.

the best thing about those is though, that they are versatile as f…! I can wear these every. no matter if it's for going out with friends, for going to university (not that I have to anymore ^^) or just to chill at home...just everywhere!
