Nice shot! I've been wearing mine this weekend and have to say I like the fit better and better. Has anybody washed or soaked it and gotten some shrinkage in the inseam?

I just soaked mine and have to send them for hemming. The waist is tighter now but the inseam is still too long.

Finn666, would you please post a pic showing that "hemmed to perfection" pants? Just for taking notes, you know.

Anesthetist, are those really 555-03? Mine don't have a yellow stitching.

this denim is really something special. after a few months of wear (2-3 I think!) it's really coming alive and the grey is popping up everywhere!

Cheers, Finn, I really dig that little cuff, I hope you won't lose it with the washes.

Finn, these will def shrink like an inch over time, in the inseam.  Sanforized denim shrinks 1%-3%. It's a twill weave, all twill weaves shrink to some degree.

Quick noob question: I just call The Works to arrange the hem-job and a very helpful lady asked me if I rather prefer chain-stitching or some other option I didn't quite get (sorry but I still have to work on my Japanese stitching lingo) which is more resistant according to her.

Does the chain-stitching have any particular advantage? Shall I go with the other option instead?

                                      Thanks in advance.

Chainstitching tends to create more roping, but is a fundamentally weak stitch and can unravel.  Chainstitching became unpopular in the 80's with the jeans manufacturers who were stone washing etc, the chainstitched hem just kept busting, so they replaced it with a lock stitch.

I am not sure if the alternative The Works offer is lockstitch, but personally I would go with chainstitched hem.
