More and More Prizes For You Lucky Heavy Champs

My good friend, and Superfuture  member Saintkeat of Hall Of Fades, has kindly donated a pair of Hall Of Fades signature 21oz jeans, made by Artist denim. The jeans are a size 29 waist, and to be in with a chance of winning them, simply hold off washing your jeans as long as possible - get dirty, win denim - simple.

I cannot get the pics to upload, so please see this link for details….

            http://halloffade.com/hall-of-fade-x-artist-denim-a-closer-look/

Our good friend Amir at Harrah Leather of Malaysia have donated a pair of wrap around leather braclets, made from natural leather, for each category winner.

            [ig width=640 height=853]http://i591.photobucket.com/albums/ss360/emporergav01/49FAA165-FF55-4BD8-9BAE-A1FEB6AB2B91-3247-00000563FC764552.jpg

So I think I could make a 29 work, I might die but I could make it work.

So this is my question, are we still allowed an initial soak before wear and be able to compete in the no wash contest for that denim?

You shouldn't be soaking unsanforized denim anyway, I fail to see the problem  :-\

It gets out manufacturing chemicals and gunk; I've soaked sanforized jeans and had the water turn brown from all the stuff processed into the denim.  I soak every pair before I wear them, regardless of whether they're STF or not.

                    But hey, that's just me…

I'm with Chris, everything gets soaked, gets all the crap out.

And yes I know stanfordized doesn't "shrink" but there is still a tiny amount of shrinkage left that it gets out.

I also believe its good for the denim and gets stuff set where it wants to be.

Thanks for promoting cheaper alternatives for products I'm retailing to support the comp, maybe you could drop into the 634 thread and link every time you see a pair of Samurai or SDA for cheaper. Well done  😠

I think it is bloody bad form when people do this to me on this forum, but I let it ride, mainly because whenever for eg. Samurai gets mentioned, Iron Heart goes higher up the search engine hits - (try googling "samurai jeans").

However, I think it totally unacceptable when this is done to someone else and effectively stiffs a person who is putting a lot of time, effort and emotion into making something a success (and fun for an awful lot of people) for no personal monetary gain.

We have no problem with other brands being mentioned on this forum and in fact celebrate the diversity of discussion, but we do have a problem with it being done in the wrong thread with no forethought.  Do some of you park your manners at the door when you enter the forum?  Yes, I am pissed off.

I have deleted the offending threads, if you want to repost, do it in the right place.

H&M also has some cheap leather belts...I've heard 😉

I appreciate that the IH forum is quite open to all other brands and I for one try to just post about this stuff where it belongs (mainly the "Other brands" sub-forum)

                                      hey mega,
I just wanted to tell you and I am sure I am speaking for the greater majority when I say this, but am very greatful for all the time you are putting in to not only host the competition but also makes things available for us like the competition shirts hat belts jeans….. ALL OF IT! As Giles stated I think at times people have an issue with their manners.

It is an amazing effort on your part and you deserve commendation. On top of all of this, you have even managed to start the HWBC comp at the same time... I didn't get in on that one in time because was not sure what was going to happen with our IH viberg boot... I know that I am a new guy in th eneighborhood but you are doing a lot to help make this place a great experience.... and for that I wish to say

I wish to sincerely thank you for your efforts mega
