This will unfortunately not happen before I have my sense of taste and smell back…  😠 😠 😠

Drinking Gouden Carolus classic... Ok I can almost taste it's brown... Still a long way to go...  😠 😠 😠

Still can't smell or taste much/ anything… But this glass is quickly becoming my favourite one... Drinking a nice Rochefort 10 out of it...

Taste is 80-85 % back… Breaking out the big guns... 13 % alc, and very expensive at 14 €...

A very dark quad, The Cloak of St. Martin’s first fermentation, to 9% ABV, uses Brasserie Brunehaut’s signature, centuries-old yeast strain. Rare, exquisite champagne yeast boosts ABV from 9% to 13% during a six-week second fermentation. The Cloak is then cellared six more weeks before final fermentation yeast is added.

If only I had known… Wouldn't 've bought it... Taste is a mix of dark, bitter chocolate and champagne... It does taste better than that, though... It's luckily sweet enough... But not something I will be buying again...

It's the smell that bothers me… It's just not balanced very well... Big contrasts... Other than that, this drink is pretty fucking hardcore... The alcohol REALLY kicks in at the end... Not my favourite, but my GOD am I glad I tried this...  😃

Followed with something cheap (labatt) and served in a gallon bucket…
