My LGC bridle leather belts are 1.75" and are a pretty tight squeeze with most of my jeans. I guess I'll look at my competition pair to see if it will accommodate a 2" belt, because that would be pretty sweet. Otherwise I'd be interested in a 1.75" option as well.

Will the buckles be stitched on or will he use snaps?

Snaps (good) or Chicago screws (better) are the only way to go, in my opinion.  I hate stitched on buckles.

I believe the buckle is attached using snaps/ rivets. I have no idea what a Chicago screw is, or if they are even used in English leather work.

I am pretty sure 2" is too wide for IH (if not, most jeans).  The IHB-01 and 02 are a tight fit at 1.5" wide, the IHB-03 is super tight at 1.7"

I also think that 2" would be too wide for most jeans, but I was asked if it could be an option. Also in total agreement that 1.5" is the way to go with a belt.

Don't Chicago screws have a tendency to come undone? It could just be my experience. Also, I've always been too lazy to buy some Loctite.
