Forgot to add (as I know this is important to some), the bridle leather is 3.5 - 4.5 mm thick, and is a heavy duty leather.

Just spoke to Crispin concerning the belt, here are the bullet points of the conversation…

          • We can choose any leather he has (Bridle, Italian Shoulder, Natural Russet)
          • We can choose whatever colour we want (Black, Light Brown, Dark Brown, Tan)
          • We can choose any buckle he has (Single or double pronged, Brass, Nickel Plated, Brass and Mazak)
          • Width can be 1.5" or 2"
          • Everything will be hand made by him, in his workshop.
          • Delivery for the entire batch will be 8 weeks or less.
          • I will have leather samples next week.
          • I will have images of the buckles next week.
          • I will post the pre-order information next week.

So, go nuts guys, custom make your HWDC belt to your own specs, Crispin will make it, I will package and despatch it for you.

          Differences between the 3 leathers?

Will the 2 inch fit in the belt loops?  I got a 1 3/4 inch atm and i swear there isn't room for another 1/4 inch but maybe there is.

            • Bridle leather is top quality, labour intensively treated and dyed leather.
            • Italian Shoulder is a slightly thinner, top cut of Italian leather.
            • Natural Russet is a completely untreated piece of English leather, for the owner to tan or treat as they please.

Cannot comment on whether 2" is too big for loops, as loops are not standard amongst brands, if it helps I am going with a 1.5" black bridle leather belt, with brass and mazak buckle.

              Thanks for the leather explanation.

Currently wearing Iron Hearts, will be wearing MBBs, which is what the belt will be for.  I suppose there is no chance of a 1 3/4 option? I think the IHs will be able to take the 2, might just chance it.  Thanks again 🙂

+1 for the 1.75" belt.  I was going to ask as well but was beaten to the punch.

My LGC bridle leather belts are 1.75" and are a pretty tight squeeze with most of my jeans. I guess I'll look at my competition pair to see if it will accommodate a 2" belt, because that would be pretty sweet. Otherwise I'd be interested in a 1.75" option as well.

Will the buckles be stitched on or will he use snaps?

Snaps (good) or Chicago screws (better) are the only way to go, in my opinion.  I hate stitched on buckles.

I believe the buckle is attached using snaps/ rivets. I have no idea what a Chicago screw is, or if they are even used in English leather work.
