Well yeah true enough, Jack, but I want to wear these jeans as long as possible… A wash on a delicate cycle'll still get them clean, and is better for them... A 60C° wash at 1400 fucking RPM isn't my idea of taking care of my clothes at all...

We'll have to agree to disagree here  🙂 I do NOT wear smelly clothes though... But as Doug said: the owner of smelly clothes is most likely not aware of it... I'll ask a collegue soon  😉

if you get them clean, that's only thing that matters…and I truly believe that spinning them over 1000 rpms won't do no harm.

          wash 'em and wear 'em...

Volcano, does that monthly washing mean no combs set in?

well maybe i wasn't specific enough but i wore mine for about 5-6 months after initial soak before the first wash. aftermath i just wash them when i feel they are dirty (after approx 25 wears).

and no, my combs have settled because of the initial 5-6 months period. maybe its not so striking and pronounced like others but i honestly can't stand not washing my jeans since i sit practically anywhere i like. from floors to side of the road and etc. furthermore we perspire so its basic hygiene imho. so yeah, they will go into the washing machine as often as they need to. 🙂

If you hand wash the first few times it doesn't mess up your creases. That way you can wash as often as you like.

nerkg- here's a pic of my combs mate. these were worn just 1 day after washing. there's no high contrasting fade as my jeans aren't really worn hard and i only owned them since 21st february this year and though i wish to wear them everyday straight for the past 8 months, i couldn't. 😞

by the way, taken with flash cos its night here and my living room haven't got good lighting.

They will still look awesome after some time, and I really follow to that theory because I have a strong belief that jeans are supposed to smell good.

doesn't matter for the different strokes man, aren't jeans supposed to reflect on you? so there is no right or wrong in doing it. haha might piss some people off that people wash their jeans every week… but hey, if they like their jeans light blue with no whiskers or combs... that's them. haha lol the endless debate on denim...

true that.. especially in our climate, being 5 minutes outdoors you just sweat a bucket, your jeans become damp and … well ... not very appealing to ....... anyone. not only is it damp and disgusting to you, it's worst for the new people you meet..

Hand wash all the way for me.  It's easy.  Maybe takes 15 min to soak and 10 minutes with soap and wash cloth.  This way, I'm in control and there's no problem.

                                      RIP, Geo
