does the fabric feel the same as the 20?

no it doesn't. it feels softer and is also a lighter weight from what i can tell. still a nice really nice shirt but not the same as the 20

Pattern like a 20, material feels more like a 32 or a 51. And I still maintain that the Dark Rider heavier, it's like wearing a fekking carpet.

Definitely a teeny bit lighter than the 20. It is not necessarily a bad at thing at all. Kinda ups the shirts wear-ability a bit IMHO.

So the dark rider is heavier than the 20 fabric but the 20 is way warmer because it barely breathes at all, if any. Dark rider is softer and more like a really heavy blanket. 20 is kinda like the Marlborough Man of fabrics, if that makes any sense at all?

                          Thickness side by side

Great shots, I think a lot of people have been wanting to see that.

I might do the same later to see if I am going mad about my Dark Rider theory.

I'll try to compare them with the 51 as well. Based on touch, I feel like the 51 is beefier than the 72 but then again, I don't have it at the moment to properly judge.

Have to agree again. The Dark Rider was thicker than my 20 yet I would sweat balls in the 20 and not the Dark Rider.

I had the 51 on the other night when I tried on Nate's 72. 51 is heavier.

                                Dark Rider > 20/51 > 72

I trust what Z says to be fact, he's a man who knows. I still want to see visually what the difference in with DR and the 72 though.

Interestingly, I had also thought that although the DR appears heavier, the 72 is definitely warmer.

That 20 fabric is really interesting.  Just echo what everyone is saying here…I wore 20 - 72 on consecutive days.  I will say the 20 is so stiff and heavy, it boarders on uncomfortable.  The 72 is soft and definitely not as heavy.

That said, the 11 maybe the most comfy of all imo.  It is thicker than both the 20 and 72, but is super plush.  Never tried the DR.

Out with the new! In with the old!
